Nasty spyware out there--be careful

Those who use IB, remember to update your java.  There is a nasty spyware out there this month that spybot search and destroy, computer associates, ad aware, and other anti-spyware programs have not been able to stop.

It got on my computer during trading on Tuesday, and I spent five hours last night until 2:30 AM trying to get it off.  I think I may have gotten it, but am not sure.

It attaches itself to the system volume.  Even if there are no programs running, it is still there.

If you hear your computer telling you that "Congratulations, you won," you really did not win.  Your computer, in particular, has gotten the spyware, and your free time is going to end up the loser.

Update the Java, and be careful of opening emails, even from eBay, which is apparently where I got mine.

For the record, I am extra careful about where I go online.  I scan all of the time, clean my hard drive frequently, and I still ended up getting it.
